Trak Case Study - HOTWORX - Hunter Industrial

Before Installation

HOTWORX is a virtually-instructed exercise program created for people to experience the many benefits of infrared heat absorption while completing a 30-minute isometric workout or 15-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) session.

Located in Murfreesboro, Tenn., James Slough is the owner of the 2,500 square-foot fitness studio that features ten saunas able to accommodate up to 30 people working out at a time. The saunas, which also heat the building, can reach temperatures as hot as 125 degrees.

James began researching fan companies that could produce a breeze that was lacking throughout the studio. Not only did he need something to keep his members cool after sweating in the sauna, but he also needed a solution to circulate heat during the winter and lower his energy costs.

After Installation

Upon learning about the Hunter Fan Company’s industrial division and its new Trak fan, James decided to install six 7 foot/84' Trak fans. The Trak fan is designed and engineered with a commercial grade motor and extruded aluminum blades for a long lifespan and optimal airflow.

After installing the Hunter fans, James and his customers immediately noticed a difference. 'Customers love the breeze. I have the fans turned on the lowest setting, and the amount of air they circulate is impressive,' said James.

James also noticed a difference in his energy bill, comparing year-over-year before having the fans installed. 'Previously, my energy bills have been anywhere from $1,300-$1,600, but since having the fans installed, my average energy bill has been $900!'

With a modern design, the Hunter fans at HOTWORX add an extra bit of edge to the facility’s black industrial ceilings and red air ducts.
