The UMG Nashville Takeover, held at the Skydeck on Broadway in Nashville, celebrates country music in the undisputed heart of the thriving genre. Hunter Industrial is thrilled to have partnered with Universal Music Group for the annual event to enhance the artist and guest experience by equipping the space with high-volume, low-speed (HVLS) fans.
A True Country Music Takeover
UMG Nashville set out to create a one-of-a-kind live music event, showcasing its talented roster of artists over an unforgettable weekend. The chosen venue, the Skydeck on Broadway, provided a stunning outdoor setting with views of downtown Nashville.
However, it also posed a challenge in maintaining comfort for both performers and attendees, especially in the humidity and summer heat. With hundreds of fans expected to gather for each performance, ensuring an optimal environment was a top priority.
The Industrial Fans Solution
To address the environmental challenges and ensure a comfortable atmosphere, Hunter Industrial stepped in to provide eight Titan high-volume, low-speed fans, strategically placing them around the Skydeck to deliver optimal air circulation. Each Titan fan was customized in black paint to ensure all of the attention remained solely on the performers on stage while the fans operated tirelessly in the background.
With headquarters in the Nashville metro area, the opportunity was more than just a business venture. It was a chance for Hunter to support a home-grown event and a way to embrace the city’s rich musical heritage.
“Having our Hunter Industrial headquarters in the bustling Nashville area means we can collaborate with some amazing companies, and Universal Music Group is no exception. When we were approached to provide fans, we selected our flagship Titan HVLS fans because of their unparalleled performance and energy efficiency – fitting for UMG’s high-quality event,” says Mark D’Agostino, senior vice president and general manager of Hunter Industrial.
HVLS Fans Elevate the Experience
With over 40 events featuring 25 different country artists, Nashville’s largest rooftop venue saw capacity crowds as over 8k country music fans ascended into the Skydeck performance space. And as the events kicked into high gear, Hunter Industrial’s fans were ready to elevate the experience.
“The Skydeck space is an incredible venue for live music and we truly appreciate the partnership with Assembly Food Hall. While that space has a new roof structure and a quiet, efficient fan system to keep audiences cool, we needed a solution for the Date Night Balcony space. Hundreds of guests were in and out of the open-air space each day to meet artists like Josh Turner, Maddie & Tae, The War And Treaty, and Josh Ross. Rented tents solved part of the problem, but it was the product selection from Hunter that kept the air moving and the event comfortable for music fans,” says Gary Keffer, vice president, Strategic Marketing at Universal Music Group Nashville.
The UMG Nashville Takeover at the Skydeck on Broadway was a resounding success, showcasing the best of country music in a stunning and comfortable outdoor setting. The partnership between UMG Nashville, Assembly Food Hall, and Hunter Industrial played a crucial role in delivering an exceptional event that left a lasting impression on both artists and fans. By addressing the challenges of an outdoor venue with innovative airflow solutions, the UMG Nashville Takeover set a new standard for live music events in Nashville, reaffirming the city’s status as the heart of country music.
Hunter Industrial is proud to offer a complete portfolio of dependable and efficient HVLS fans for the entertainment and food service industries. Contact us today and see how our complete airflow solutions can transform your space.
